Jordi Safont-Tria studied architecture in Barcelona and London, obtaining his license at the ETSAB of the Polytechnic University of Catalunya in 2004. He is a PhD candidate at the Department of Architectonic Projects in Barcelona, where he obtained the Advanced Research Diploma in 2007. Between 2008 and 2009 he pursued his thesis research at Columbia University in New York as a visiting scholar.
Prior establishing his own studio he worked with various architectural offices of different countries. In Barcelona he worked at the Urban Department of Barcelona City Council, Eduard Bru architects and Angel Martín +DOM; in London he collaborated with MSSI, and in New York with Zurita Architects as a Project Director. He is currently working on a variety of professional and academic projects in Barcelona, integrating theory and practice with great success.
